Storage environment:

The generator set should be stored in a dry, clean, well ventilated, and temperature appropriate indoor environment. The temperature range of the storage area should be kept as close as possible to -40 ℃ to 65 ℃ without condensation, while avoiding vibration or sudden changes in temperature and humidity.

The storage area should be isolated from chemical pollution sources to prevent animals from appearing or building nests.

Sealing and sealing:

All openings of the generator set (such as air inlet, filter, exhaust port, valve port, etc.) should be sealed during storage to prevent dust, moisture, and dirt from entering.

If there are breathing holes on the outer packaging of the generator set, it should be ensured that airflow passes through to prevent condensation of water vapor.

Fuel system:

Disconnect the engine fuel supply and exhaust pipes from the fuel source of the device.

Use diesel without bio oil components and allow for storage for a certain period of time. At regular intervals, the diesel in the engine fuel system must be discharged and flushed with brand new diesel that does not contain bio oil components.

Do not use diesel fuel containing bio oil components as internal fuel storage in the fuel system when the engine is parked.

The fuel in the fuel filter of Weifang diesel generator set and the fuel in the engine oil passage need to be drained to prevent moisture in the fuel from causing rusting and biting of the fuel injection components.

Cooling system:

If the engine uses long-lasting coolant with rust inhibitor added, there is no need to drain the coolant within 24 months. If the storage time exceeds 24 months, the engine cooling system must be drained.

Sufficient antifreeze needs to be added to the radiator of the unit to prevent the engine from rusting or freezing in cold seasons.

Lubrication system:

Before storage, it is necessary to replace the engine oil and oil filter with brand new oil, and ensure that the oil is distributed throughout the engine and its internal components to improve the long-term rust prevention and protection effect of the engine.

When stored for a long time, all used lubricating oil (engine oil) should be drained to prevent the engine oil from deteriorating and thickening.

Battery:

Disconnect the positive and negative terminals of the battery from the starter motor and remove the battery.

Clean the oxide on the battery joint of Weifang diesel generator set and apply Vaseline for protection.

Fully charge with a float charger and ensure to charge once a month. Store in a clean, dust-free environment at a temperature of around 5-25 ℃.
